A year and a half ago, I got a call from a guy (Jeff Runnels) in Nashville whose mission in life was to change access for people with disabilities through technology. Confused about how he came to find me (not gonna lie, I think it was from the Pushy Lawyer page!), I was otherwise on board with this idea! It’s been an amazing experience to work alongside some great people to get to where we are today—OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCING UPLIFT!
I’ve always said that my problem in this world is NOT that I use a wheelchair, but rather the problem is the barriers in society that prevent me from living a full life because of a lack of access. Whether it is a bar, a concert, a school, and so much more- there is no longer an excuse to provide a “less than” experience for certain consumers just because they use a wheelchair or scooter or stand at a shorter stature. Businesses, Venues, and Schools will now have the key to provide TRUE ACCESS to all! And I’m SO excited to help pave a more accessible path for my community!
