Speaker at AAJ Conference in Philadelphia

Last weekend, I traveled to Philadelphia to attend the annual conference for the American Association for Justice, the leading national association for trial lawyers. I was thrilled to speak on my experience as both a Plaintiff and now a Plaintiff’s lawyer and was honored to be voted as the DC representative for the AAJ Board of Governors as well as accepting two new committee appointments (Diversity and Inclusion and Voter Protection) by AAJ’s newest President.

I also want to applaud AAJ (American Association for Justice) on its efforts to make the conference more accessible including having a lift available for the stage where I was a speaker, and a ramp on the main stage for me to use when being honored as part of the Leadership Academy. Other little things like having chair removed at tables I would be at added to the positive experience. Their efforts made it so that I could focus on my role as a lawyer, instead of being consumed on how accessible the setup will be.

I am very honored and excited about my new positions and to #keeppushing for changes!
